Warsaw Prague café
From a book “Barista Lifestyle”
A cozy café in Warsaw, Praga north in a pre-war tenement house from 1927. The whole world placed on 40 m2, and underneath it another one less visible, but no less important. Windows overlooking the cream-colored tenement houses on the opposite side, separated by a street with passing cars and Warsaw red-and-yellow trams, a diagonal view of a green park full of trees, and to the right of it a 17th-century church built in the times of Sigismund IV Waza, surrounded by a pink wall.
Dark roasted beans were falling from the grinder directly into the heated flask, ground coffee was tamped with a tamper in our hands, brewed into espresso straight into a white porcelain cup, sometimes black, sometimes with milk.
The floor, permeated with all the alive conversations of people with different views on life, as well as those with common ones. A place visited by energetic, tired people and those in between, emanates everything that has happened there over the years.
Shared moments of people close, distant and strangers at different times of the year, day or life. Trying something for the first time and giving in to habits and sentiments. Watching people come as couples or couples, or working alone on laptops, or enjoying life together with other people. Parents create memories with their children.
A confectionery where amazing confectioners have always worked, providing with their work and experience cakes, cakes, breakfasts and pancakes, for which people from the area and other districts came back. It's a shame they couldn't see the results of their work on people's faces, I don't think they realized how many people they really made happy.
Friends make it special
Question that needs to be asked is - When does friendship begin ?
According to google: “Friend - a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection”
As I understand it a friend is a person with who, You have a connection with, a bond that is getting stronger with all the experiences shared. Someone who understand You, respect You, and value You as a person. Why I see my life as magical since I started to work as a barista, is because I made it a passion of mine - getting in connection with people, co-workers, guests, and all people included. I tried, and still do get to know others as much as possible, theirs stories, passions, and when I start to understand them more, I start to understand myself more. Get to know someone is one thing. Get to understand someone is another.
Knowing and understanding are 2 different things.
Know Yourself, and understand Yourself. Once I started this journey, everything changed.
